“Entre les rangs” is inspired by these fields swept by wind and light. It is based on a proposal: revisit a side of Quebec's agricultural history to put it in dialogue with the current urban context. Some 28,000 flexible stems capped with white reflectors oscillate, sparkle and resonate under the effect of wind and human walks.
The reflector captures the white light during the day. Depending on the time of day, they diffuse more or less light. At night, there are two directions of light. First, immersive light is possible by arranging different sources of light on high on megastructures. The luminous immersion is completed by the lights installed at the periphery to light the reflectors. This light is called reflective.
The original wish is that the light is magical, like during a sunrise or a sunset. Indeed, light is present, but we focus more on the effect it has on the environment than on its origin. The evolution of the light on the site accompanies the visitor in his discovery of the installation. The user feels himself progressing in different colored atmospheres without determining the beginning and the end of each one. The created universe is unique and evolving.
